This Shipping Policy outlines how we process, ship, and deliver your orders in line with the standards set out by the Consumer and Taxpayers Association of South Africa (CTAA) and the Consumer Protection Act (CPA).
1. Delivery Areas
We currently offer delivery throughout South Africa. If you are outside our regular delivery zones, please contact our support team before placing an order to see if arrangements can be made.
2. Delivery Timeframes
- Standard Delivery: 1–3 working days from confirmation of payment.
- Express Delivery (where available): Same-day or next-day delivery for orders placed before [Insert Cut-off Time].
- Fresh Produce & Perishables: These are prioritized for earliest delivery to maintain quality and freshness.
3. Shipping Fees
- Flat Rate: R[Insert Amount] per order within standard delivery zones.
- Free Delivery: Orders over R[Insert Amount] qualify for free delivery.
- Out-of-Area Deliveries: Additional charges may apply and will be communicated before dispatch.
4. Order Processing
Orders are processed Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays). Orders placed after [Insert Cut-off Time] will be processed the next business day.
5. Tracking & Notifications
Once your order is dispatched, you will receive a confirmation email or SMS with tracking information (if available). You may also contact our support team for updates.
6. Delivery Attempts
If no one is available to receive the delivery:
- A second delivery attempt will be made.
- If unsuccessful again, the goods may be returned to our warehouse, and additional delivery charges may apply.
7. Condition of Goods Upon Delivery
Please inspect your order upon receipt:
- If items are damaged, incorrect, or missing, notify us within 48 hours via the contact details below.
- Claims made after this period may not be accepted unless under exceptional circumstances, in accordance with the CPA.
8. Delays & Force Majeure
Green Cart is not liable for delays caused by events outside our control (e.g., natural disasters, strikes, pandemics). However, we will take all reasonable steps to notify customers and resolve issues promptly.
9. Consumer Rights
As a customer, you have rights under the Consumer Protection Act and guidelines of the CTAA, including:
- The right to receive goods in good working order and as described.
- The right to cancel non-perishable orders within 7 days under the cooling-off period (for online purchases).
- The right to a remedy (replacement, refund, or credit) for defective goods.
